Where do your nannies come from?
Our live out nannies will be located within a 15-20 minute drive of your home. Our live in nannies are located within the tri state area as well as some that come from other parts of the country.
What can I expect to pay my nanny?
There are four factors that affect the salary you will need to pay. They include the experience of the nanny, the amount of hours per week, additional responsibilities (such as housework), and the number of children. As a general rule, a nanny will work fifty hours per week and a live-in will receive $400-$600 per week. A live-out nanny will receive $500-$700 per week. Part-time salaries often range from about $10-$17 an hour.
What are the agency fees?
Our placement fee is $1,900 and we have a one time application fee of $200. Our rates are among the lowest for a full service agency in New Jersey.
How long does the process take?
We currently have live-in and live-out nannies that are available for immediate placement. Once the application fee is paid the family will begin to receive detailed profiles of nanny candidates who match your family's needs. Although we have nannies available for immediate placement, we recommend applying 4-6 weeks in advance.
Do we need to provide benefits?
It is required that the family provides 1-2 weeks paid vacation for the nanny. Most families also provide off for major holidays. For families that are requesting a live-in nanny, it is recommended that use of a vehicle, within reasonable restrictions, be provided to the nanny. It is not required to offer health insurance. For families that do wish to provide health insurance, the Dakota Nanny Company will provide information regarding different plans available.
How are the nannies screened?
Each nanny that we reccomend are thoroughly screeened and referenced. Among the step we take to ensure the safety of our placements are:

- National sex offender Registry clearances
- Cpr/First Aid Certified
- Fingerprints on file
- All Have local references
- U.S work Authorization
- Minimum 1 year commitment
Is there any post-placement support?
Yes. We will be in touch with both the family and the nanny after placement to make sure everything is going well. Additionally, for live-in nannies we provide lists of other local nannies that your nanny can meet to help her acclimate to the area.

Is there a guarantee on the nanny?
Yes. We will replace your nanny within 90 days of her starting with you for any reason. After 90 days we have deep[ly discounted replacement fees depending on how long the nannu worked for your family.
